If you’ve ever wanted to see the Terminator confront the likes of Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin, today is your lucky day. The iconic film character portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger, is set to be featured as a downloadable character in WWE 2K16, the latest edition of the wrestling company’s storied video game franchise.

According to a press statement by 2K sports, the developers of WWE games, Arnie will portray two versions of the cybernetic killing machine. One is designed in reference to the original 1984 classic, and the second depicted to represent the sequel, Terminator 2: Judgement Day. WWE 2K16 is released in North America on October 27 2015, followed by international release on October 30.

In Arnold’s words:

Below is a trailer for his upcoming appearance, in which Schwarzenegger recreates a famous sequence from Judgement Day with various WWE superstars.

A Legacy in Tow

For those unaware, Schwarzenegger and WWE have a long relationship stretching back to the Attitude Era. A former professional bodybuilder in his early adulthood before becoming ascending to box office sensation in Conan the Barbarian, Total Recall, and True Lies, he appeared on an episode of SmackDown in 1999, beating up Triple H to the delight of the fans.

Schwarzenegger is also strong friends with a number of former professional wrestlers and current WWE superstars, notably Bruno Sammartino and Triple H himself. The actor and former Governor of California was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in March of this year.

This inclusion is a major surprise, but a very welcome one, as who wouldn’t be excited to compete in a WWE ring as the programmable assassin that exploded through movie theaters in the 1980s and ’90s? Competing as the Terminator is a dream of many sci-fi and action fans for the past three decades, and now it can be realized within the squared circle.

And, above anything else, at least there will be somebody on the 2K16 roster that can beat John Cena.
